Language will no longer be a barrier to students in Latin America as they will have the opportunity to complete an online degree program through Saint Leo University.    

Saint Leo University is collaborating with global education services partner AVENU Learning to offer fully online degree programs in Spanish, starting in March 2021. In the first year, eight Saint Leo online degree programs will be available to students.

The programs will include bachelor's degrees in business administration, accounting, human resource management, liberal studies, psychology, computer information systems, cybersecurity, and health care administration. In Fall 2021, the partnership will expand to include three master's degrees: business administration, accountancy, and cybersecurity.

The student experience—from recruitment and admissions to the university’s online coursework—will be translated and localized by AVENU Learning working closely with Saint Leo to provide a quality learning experience in the student’s native language. Even the Saint Leo instructors will be native Spanish speakers, many living in Latin American countries.

The end result of this effort is that a student’s language no longer has to be a barrier to receiving a quality education from a regionally accredited, nonprofit university.

The language a student speaks no longer has to determine what university they attend.”

Founded as a joint venture between Southern New Hampshire University and the SEEK Group, AVENU supports global learners across a portfolio of partner programs including certificates, undergraduate, and graduate degrees. AVENU’s clients also include Southern New Hampshire University.
